Board of Directors

Gilpin Mountain Kids, Early Learning Center is a new nonprofit child care center that opened in December 2025 in Black Hawk!  We are seeking visionary leaders to join our Board of Directors and help guide our mission into the future.

The Role
As a Board Member, you will:

• Provide strategic guidance and governance oversight
• Champion our mission and values in the community
• Contribute expertise in finance, fundraising, advocacy, legal, marketing, etc.
• Participate in quarterly board meetings and committee work
• Support fundraising and donor engagement efforts

What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates who are:

• Passionate about quality early childhood education
• Experienced in leadership, governance, or education
• Skilled in collaboration and decision-making
• Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Able to dedicate approximately 2 hours per month to board duties

Term & Commitment
Board terms are 1 year, renewable. This is a volunteer position; reasonable expenses may be reimbursed.
