Colorado Department of Early Childhood
The Urban Institute, a nonprofit research organization, is conducting a study in partnership with the Colorado Department of Early Childhood to learn more about the ability of early childhood mental health consultation (ECMHC) to support strong early childhood mental health and increase access to stable, high-quality care. This project will focus on ECMHC in home-based child care settings and underserved communities.
As part of the study, Urban is convening a Community Advisory Board (CAB) with diverse representation from current and former participants, beneficiaries, and community advocates for ECMHC.
What will the CAB do? The purpose of the CAB is to ensure that those most impacted by programs and services are able to share their voice. The community members will inform the design of the project, interpret findings, and share what is learned back to their communities. Members will reflect their community experiences, needs, and strengths.
Who is eligible? The project team is seeking representation from past and current participants in ECMHC. We are seeking a diverse group of members to represent the following perspectives:
● Family Child Care Home (FCCH) providers
● Friend, Family, and Neighbor care providers
● FCCH and/or qualified exempt providers participating in CCCAP
● Child care providers in rural regions of Colorado
● Family members whose children previously participated in ECMHC
