Job Description:
Oversees and directs day-to-day operations of the Douglas County Early Childhood Council (DCECC), including resource development, budget preparation, grant writing, and program development. Acts as a liaison for community, state, and other early childhood partnerships. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

Full Salary Range:
$48,875.45 USD – $70,869.40 USD Annual

Bachelor’s Degree (Required), Master’s Degree


Oversee evaluation activities and prepare related reports
Coordinate DCECC meetings, events, and outreach
Accomplish all legislatively required activities of Colorado Child Care Council Legislation: Building a Strong ECE sector in Douglas County for Centers and Family childcare Homes, Improving the quality of ECE, Strategic direction, Workforce development
Attend state and local meetings as needed to ensure that local systems work is coordinated with state efforts
Work collaboratively with Douglas County early childhood community through strategic thinking, staff direction, and resource development: Improve the quality for Centers and Family Childcare Homes, Improve availability of resources, Workforce support, and training, Bring together early childhood and community partners
Support and coordination for all revenue streams
Perform other related duties as assigned
Work collaboratively with Douglas County School District as the fiscal agent
Apply for and secure grant funding including coordination, data gathering and grant writing; oversee grant activities; prepare related reports
Oversee and manage the DCECC budget, including directing ongoing fiscal procedures, and end of year fiscal processes
Establish, enrich and maintain partnerships with the community and state organizations, represent the Early Childhood Council in all events
Responsibility to engage and manage Quality Rating Improvement Systems (QRIS) initiatives
Ability to engage and direct the work of independent contract staff, and/or supervise and direct staff to accomplish the goals of Douglas County Early Childhood Council (DCECC)
Prepare contracts and memoranda of understanding with all contractors and partnering agencies
Maximize resources into Douglas County through public advocacy, and collaborative efforts to maximize support in alignment with the strategic plan; funding sources should be blended to accomplish the goals as directed by the DCECC
Work with the DCECC Executive Committee to create and implement strategies and activities of the DCECC Strategic Plan
