Bright By Three (20 hours per week)

 Recruit, train, support and manage community volunteers for the Program A, B, and C components of the Bright By Three Program.  Develop and maintain positive relationships within organization, agencies, potential and current partnering agencies/entities, and volunteers.  Complete Bright By Three home or group visits as needed.  Assist in written or verbal translations.  Develop skills and knowledge to be positioned as a community expert on children’s issues.  Present information at Spanish speaking community meetings on Bright By Three.  Attend Bright By Three Home Visitation Committee meetings quarterly and other community meetings as assigned. United Way of Weld County General  Support and promote the mission, values, goals and objectives of UWWC, including representing UWWC in professional organizations and the community (as assigned).  Support fundraising efforts of UWWC and activities that support UWWC.  Support PFC and UWWC annual events, UWWC disaster response, and other activities as assigned.  Attend weekly staff meetings and in service opportunities.  Other duties as assigned. Qualifications  Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.  Previous experience working with families.  Bilingual in Spanish and English.  Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to Weld and/or Larimer Counties.  Must have access to reliable transportation.  Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish).  Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.  Ability to effectively present information to a variety of audiences. www.UnitedWay-Weld.org  Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information.  Ability to be systematic, organized, accurate and detailed.  Ability to operate effectively with minimal direction.  Ability to respond to tasks in an appropriate amount of time; i.e. 2-3 days.  Ability to establish effective working relationships with parents and community agencies.  Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.  Knowledge and familiarity with early childhood development and parenting.  Ability to deliver information to groups of approximately 30 people in a supportive, educational environment.
