I am a proud Colorado native, born and raised in the Denver Metro area. During my 8 years in the field, I have worked in several different contexts: public, private, low-income, at-risk, high-performing, math-focused programs, biology-focused programs, youth fitness, and Montessori. I have now happily settled into the Reggio-inspired world as the Pedagogista at OPENair Academy at Stanley. I earned my B.A. in Human Development with an Early Childhood Education emphasis through MSU Denver. Most recently, I completed my M.A. in Educational Psychology at the University of Colorado Denver through the Boulder Journey School Teacher Education Program. I am honored to continue my graduate education through the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program.
Looking forward, I envision myself as a resource for early childhood programs seeking support in making the valuable work of their schools visible to families, other early childhood education professionals, and larger society. In addition to being a resource to programs already interested in making their work visible, I aim to foster a sense of responsibility among early childhood educators to reflect in plain sight, to share the expertise and intention that goes into their work.
When I am not studying or working, I can be found at home reading, knitting, or spending time with my husband and our pet cat, Gizmo.
