I strive to be a leader that inspires others to be their very best self and support them to do the work that they came into this world to do. I want to leave a legacy of my own choosing and motivate others to do the same. I believe that the founders and educators of Reggio Emilia, Italy, are an excellent example of Pedagogical Leadership. I am very grateful to have created a business that embraces the Reggio Emilia philosophy. This approach has had a profound impact on my own practices and how I conduct professional development trainings, Communities of Practice Collaboratives (CPCs). I have been in Early Childhood Education for over 30 years as a mom, nanny, licensed home childcare provider, preschool teacher, mentor/coach for preservice teachers, and Director of Student Learning at the Early Childhood Center at Colorado State University. I am owner of 'Image of the Educator', providing professional development and consulting to early childhood educators and leaders. I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University, a master’s degree in Administrative Leadership, and Policy Studies from the University of Colorado Denver, and I am an alumni of the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program, 7th cohort.
