Shelly Anderson is the Director, Implementation Research at Clayton Early Learning. Her current responsibilities include leading a variety of projects and promising approaches to P-3 education reform efforts across a variety of early learning sectors (within school, home and community based settings). Prior to this role, Ms. Anderson was a Mentor Coach at Clayton Educare, one of ten national Head Start Centers of Excellence where she was integral to the development and implementation of an evidence-based professional development system and infant/toddler curriculum called Learning Through Relating. She began her career as a child development specialist with a Wave One Early Head Start Program in Iowa. In the last thirteen years, she has worked as teacher, child family educator, and literacy coach at Clayton Early Learning. Shelly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with an emphasis in Child Services. She is a graduate of the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program and has her Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Denver.
