Johnnie Romano has been a Director and a teacher in early childhood education for over 28 years. Johnnie moved to the Denver area in 2011 where she helped plan, implement and staff the Early Childhood Learning Center at Graland Country Day School. The growth has allowed her the opportunity to mentor new teachers, work with an excellent team of independent school educators and work with a wide age range of young learners. At Graland, she has been busy with five classrooms and ten teachers and inspiring rich learning environments. Johnnie has a Masters degree in Administration, Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Colorado, Denver and a Buell Early Childhood Leadership Certificate from the University of Denver. She holds a Colorado Level V Early Childhood Professional Credential with an Infant/Toddler Endorsement and a Colorado teaching License in Early Childhood Education and K-12 Physical Education. She also holds a level one Coaching Credential. Johnnie has an undergraduate degree in Recreation with a minor in Business Administration. For twenty -three years, Johnnie directed the Fraser Creative Learning Center where she worked with children from age two and a half through five.
